Our central support office in Darlington provides assistance through a variety of functions to our frontline services and, while some support is less visible than others, every team resonates the kindness and excellent delivery of care you see in our homes.

Careline

Often the first point of contact Residents and their loved ones have with HC-One, Careline is one of our frontline teams supporting HC-One’s mission to provide the kindest care to older people in the UK. Based in HC-One’s central support office in Darlington, Careline takes more than 30,000 incoming calls and makes 25,000 outgoing calls every single month with enquirers looking for care either for themselves or a loved one.

As part of the Careline team, you will support and guide prospective Residents and their loved ones through their journey from finding the right care home that meets their loved one’s needs, all the way through to admission into the home. You will also work closely with stakeholders, including social workers and hospitals, who are trying to find a care home for their client or patient. In addition, you will support our homes by updating enquiry records, enabling homes to easily see where each enquirer is in their journey.

Learning and Development

Our Learning and Development team provides award-winning learning and development interventions to our Colleagues, ranging from classroom workshops and virtual online sessions, to in-house one-to-one coaching for our Colleagues in a variety of subject areas.

Training and development play an important role in the effectiveness of our homes, as well as the experiences and development of our Colleagues supporting and working within them. Commissioned Services and Commercial Support

Our Commissioned Services and Contract Managers provide expert support to our care homes and operational teams in relation to public sector service contracts, public sector fees, policy, and integration. As part of the Commissioned Services team, you will help make HC-One’s purpose in action a reality, especially as part of our mission to become the first-choice care provider for commissioners of care in each community we serve.

Commercial support is also a vital aspect of the assistance provided to our homes at HC-One. Our Commercial Support Partners give expert commercial advice and guidance to our homes to ensure our private fees are competitive, that we understand what demand there is for care, and that we have good links with key referrers and influencers in each community.

Our IT team provides the full range of technology services and solutions required by all of HC-One’s Colleagues and Residents across our networks of homes. Customer satisfaction is paramount for the IT team, as they support thousands of Colleagues with corporate and personal IT solutions while embedding the kind care approach HC-One delivers across all its functions.

Our Resourcing team works closely with our homes and support office Colleagues to provide an essential recruitment service across HC-One. At a high level, the team works with Colleagues across the company to understand organisational resource needs in the short, medium, and long term, and creates strategies and plans to fulfil them.

Property Services

Our Property Services team is responsible for providing the best possible environment for our Residents and Colleagues. They achieve this by ensuring our homes are well maintained and our living and working environments remain safe, compliant, comfortable, and welcoming at all times.

As part of the Property Services team, you will have a fundamental and pivotal role in ensuring continuous property improvement, compliance, and safety across HC-One’s network of homes.
