We are looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our Finance team and support treasury activities to cover maternity leave commencing in September. The contract will initially be for 6 months on a fixed term potentially increasing to 12 months.
The rate for this role is £28,000PA pro rata
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Personal Allowance (PA):
Uploading the PA bank statement & coding transactions to the correct home.
Processing PA payments on behalf of the home.
Maintaining the PA nominal ledger control a/cs.
Ordering PA cheque books & paying in books.
Resolving miscellaneous PA queries.
- Comfort Fund (CF):
Processing CF payments on behalf of the home.
Downloading and emailing bank statements to the homes and FRA’s.
Ordering CF cheque books & paying in books.
- Petty Cash (PC):
Processing petty cash claims submitted by each care home.
Collating a bacs file for upload into the bank.
Posting petty cash journals.
- Dealing with various queries raised by colleagues working in the care homes and support centre.
- Ordering receipt books and posting out to the homes when requested.
- Distributing daily post.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as the homes, support centre, FRA’s and banks.
- Reconciliation of control accounts in Nominal Ledger for review by Treasury Supervisor/Manager.
- Supporting the Treasury Supervisor with ad hoc general administration tasks as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, previous experience working as a Treasury Assistant or in a similar role would be beneficial, ideally within the Healthcare sector.
You will have excellent numerical and analytical skills, are proficient in accounting software (ideally Cold harbour Financials & Income Processing), and can work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will be familiar with the healthcare sector and the specific challenges and opportunities it presents.
With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you can work effectively in a team and with various stakeholders.
